My Journey
Hi! I’m Dreya, the Death & Dreams Doula! I am an Afro-Indigenous, disabled queer AuDHDer who finds joy in bodies of water, food, dreaming, & throwing my ass in a healing circle. As a survivor of psychiatric facilities, I began tending to my relationship with spirit and my ancestors in 2009, guided by an auntie and plant spirit medicine practitioners.
I am a full spectrum birth doula who trained under Sumayyah Franklin and studied as a Death Doula through Going with Grace. While earning my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling I simultaneously trained alongside Jai Medina and a group of healers, deepening our knowledge in Indigenous healing traditions. While I have over a decade of experience in a variety of roles, the experience I lean on the most is my connection to the land and my ancestors, who are foundational to my practice.

Approach
My approach leans on ancestral guidance, peer support counseling, and coaching techniques. As a Death and Dreams Doula, I support others who are navigating transitions of all sorts. I aim to create liberatory, anti-carceral spaces that invoke reclamation and joy.
1x1 sessions typically begin with a platica (space to talk) with room for whatever else is being called forth for the day. This flexibility allows me to intuitively respond to what you’re needing. I may recommend a limpia (cleansing), movement or meditation exercise, candle ritual, art project, etc. All clients receive an herbal care package bundle per month. I also provide in person mobile services for bodywork, massage, cleansings, and more.
